Most people who like fragrance know the name Aventus. The bottle I pour from is Absolu Aventus, a limited edition Creed first released in 2023, and it is not the same thing. The difference is worth knowing before you spend on either.
What it does on me. Grapefruit, bergamot and ginger up top, then cardamom, cinnamon and pineapple, then labdanum, vetiver and patchouli underneath. The pineapple is thicker here than in the original, not quieter.
The biggest change is at the bottom. Creed describes the birch in the original as smoky and leathery. Absolu Aventus does not list birch at all, and it puts cardamom and cinnamon in the middle instead. To me it reads as smoother and darker, not smokier. So if you know Aventus for its smoke, this is not more of that.
The site files it for spring, and as dressy and grown up.
Price is the honest part. It costs more per ml than anything else on the site, and that is exactly when a small size earns its place. A 2 ml tells you whether you want to live with it before you spend anything like bottle money.
That is one person's impression and not a universal read.
Creed Absolu Aventus is here in 2, 5 and 10 ml, poured by hand from a 75 ml bottle, and the listing shows how much of it is left. Which size to get goes through the sizes.
