People search this shop for Sauvage. It is worth saying plainly that there are two of them here, and they are not the same fragrance at two strengths.
The Eau de Parfum. Bergamot first, then pepper, lavender and star anise over ambroxan and vanilla. You have smelled it on someone. It works, and that is why it is everywhere. The site files it as a safe pick for spring and fall, and I mean safe as a compliment.
The Elixir. Grapefruit and spice up front, then licorice and warm woods underneath. It is far denser than the Eau de Parfum, darker and dressier, and it belongs to the cold months. The site files it under fall, winter and date night.
Which to try first. If you have worn neither, start with the Eau de Parfum. It is the reference point, and the Elixir makes more sense once you know what it moves away from. If you already own the Eau de Parfum and want something for colder evenings, the Elixir is the one to look at. All of that is one person's impression, not a universal read.
Both are here in 2, 5 and 10 ml, poured by hand from bottles on my bench: Sauvage Eau de Parfum and Sauvage Elixir. If you want to compare them properly, a 2 ml of each costs less than a 10 ml of either. Which size to get goes through the sizes.
